Its condition is meeting high substantive and stylistic requirements. The term quality content is used interchangeably.

In addition, an inseparable element is authentic, interesting language that allows the author’s thoughts to be presented in an easy-to-understand way. A complicated text, full of intricacies and technical jargon, does not necessarily deserve to be called premium content.

So what kind of content can bear this title? First of all, are content that meet the needs of readers, combining high informativeness with attractive messages. Such content must undoubtedly be rich in associations, i.e. combining many threads that together create a coherent narrative.

Thoughtless copying of sentences from a specialist textbook does not fit into this definition of premium content. Of course, information is necessary, but it is only the foundation that serves to build an interesting ‘story’ presenting a broader point of view. This is what should be understood by this term; an additional ingredient in the form of the author’s creative invention is necessary.

How to create premium content

Creating professional content always takes place in several stages, where writing the texts themselves is just one of them..

Step 1 – research

This is the responsibility of every professional copywriter.

Before starting the creation of any premium content, you should delve deeper into the topic, obtaining the information necessary to thoroughly develop the content.

For this purpose, it is worth examining authorized sources such as Wikipedia (especially the English-language one), industry portals, and above all scientific articles (e.g. from Google Scholar or thematic platforms such as PubMed for the medical industry).

Step 2 – structure

This part makes further writing much easier. It involves planning headings that will allow you to obtain a clear information architecture. Divide the sections into more general and more specific ones (for more interested readers), and then arrange them in such an order that the former are an introduction to the latter. The deductive nature of premium content is manifested precisely in presenting information “from general to specific”.

Step 3 – writing

Once you have a ready structure and reliable sources, it is time for proper writing. In this aspect, remember to avoid bad practices in the form of hasty conclusions, selectivity, or using argumentative errors (e.g. ad populum or ad traditionem).

‘Ad populum’ and ‘ad traditionem’ are both logical fallacies, which occur when reasoning is based on flawed logic. Here’s a breakdown of each:

  • Ad Populum (Appeal to popularity): This fallacy occurs when someone argues that a claim is true simply because many people believe it. The idea behind this is that popularity or widespread acceptance is taken as evidence of truth. For example, “Most people believe this diet works, so it must be effective.” However, just because something is popular doesn’t make it correct.
  • Ad Traditionem (Appeal to Tradition): This fallacy happens when someone argues that something is true or better simply because it has always been done that way or because it is traditional. For example, “We’ve always done it this way, so it must be the best way.” The argument assumes that tradition automatically equates to truth or value, without considering possible flaws or alternatives.

Both fallacies rely on irrelevant reasons—popularity or tradition—instead of evidence and sound reasoning.

Great content should be a reflection of the author’s thoughts in writing – so it depends on the author whether they are organized, logical and clear, or confusing and simply wrong. For this reason, premium content is not something that can be created in a hurry.

Obtaining a valuable content requires a series of logical operations supported by high linguistic skills.

But after all, we said from the beginning that it wouldn’t be easy, right?

Step 4 – optimization

At this stage, you already have ready material, which remains to be processed to increase its quality. Such an improvement will affect both the comfort of readers and higher SEO potential. The most important optimizations include:

  • Internal linking – consists of referring to other subpages within the page, where given issues have been discussed in a more exhaustive way. Adding links allows you to keep the content concise, while allowing readers to read further. A perfect example of the use of such linking is Wikipedia.
  • Meta-title and meta-description – these are texts that encourage users to enter the page from the search engine, thanks to which the content is more willingly read and the page records greater organic traffic.
  • Adding photos – the content will significantly improve its quality if it is supported by attractive photos and infographics. Eye-catching graphics are an extremely important complement to the publication.
  • Formatting – its task is to highlight the most important information (definitions or conclusions) using bold or italics, as well as present some information in the form of a bulleted/numbered list, increasing the overall readability of the text. Blocks with quotes, strikethroughs and the use of other colors are also welcome if they have a positive impact on the aesthetic reception of the content.
  • Bibliography – applies only to certain industries (e.g. law and medicine). It consists of inserting sources from which information was obtained. Such an element is usually placed in the form of footnotes/links below the text. We do not have to add to what extent this affects the quality and credibility of the content.

Although the issue of optimization may seem devoid of fireworks to you, it is worth doing, because each of the above activities will contribute to the final effect.
